Weather:
Weather is a "general" symbol/element
that colors all the other elements of the dream scene. Unless
a dream is prophetic, or a vision wherein the elements combine
to make a "true" picture of an upcoming or past event,
weather is symbolic to the theme of the dream. We will elaborate
more on this in the ZOO section at a later date.
Rainy, sunny, all reflect the dreamers "moods" It
is the internal landscape, background. Raining or sunny tell of depression, grief,
sadness or joy, jubilation, peace. When the weather is "windy" it
bespeaks agitation, talkativeness, excitement, restlessness. "Snow" can
denote "coldness" in a person or "purity", depending on every
other dream element present in that scene.
Changing weather denotes mood swings, or changes in attitude. (Again, depending
on the sum of the other elements in that dream scene.)
Seasons:
Winter denotes
the ending of things or the decline of youth into old age; solitude,
even fear or loneliness. It can represent the ending of
a relationship, a term of grieving, or going within (we stay
indoors in winter, right?).
Spring is the revelation
of things new, vibrant and enthusiastic. Expectations
and new beginnings.
Summer gives
us
our
prime
of
vigor
and
wisdom,
strength
and
productivity.
Fall is
a
time
of
preparation
in
order
to
sustain
yourself or
be
sustained,
through
a
period
of
difficulty
or trial.
Trees:
Our families, our connection
to a history or a past more recent as relates to families,
shows up in dreams as trees. Healthy trees are good things. Trees
with problems or other "negative" characters included
are signs that there are problems in our family. Once
we recognize the problem elements in our dreams, we can better
address them in the walking world.
