mail server settings:

incoming POP3 server:	`mail.qcislands.net`
outgoing SMTP server:	`mail.qcislands.net`
news server:	`news.qcislands.net`

your email address:

When you signed up, you selected a "user name". This name becomes your name to log in to the system (your "login" name), and it also becomes your email address name.

Your email address also requires the name of our computer to make it a complete address.

So for an example, we will pretend that you selected the name of "clementine" as your login/email name. Your email address will look like:

`clementine`	`@`	`qcislands.net`	.. or ..
`clementine`	`@`	`haidagwaii.net`	.. or ..
`clementine`	`@`	`qcislands.ca`

You can select any one of the above three available names and they will work for you. Our system and the internet understands all three names for us and you are therefore free to pick whichever one suits you the best.

You must however enter the POP3 and the SMTP server names exactly as they appear above even if you have decided to use one of the alternate names for your email address.
