Morgan's Story

Once there was a dragon named Faith. Faith lived in an enchanted forest with unicorns, fairies, elves, munchkins, grifons, trolls, nimfes, fawns and many more magical animals. There were also lots more animals but I can't name them all. Faith had no worys. she ate all the munchkins she wanted and every Sunday night she feasted on a troll the only one who could stand up to her was the wizard.

One Sunday afternoon Faith was chasing a troll. The trees were whispering to Faith stop the wizard is coming, the wizard is coming (because of course in that world all animals and plants could talk). You better stop now the flowers were chanting for the wizard is coming. Won't anybody leave me aloan! she said coming to a halt. Drat I've lost my dinner because of you and she stormed off. She was so mad on her way back to her cave she grabbed a fairy. Which she was forbidden to eat by the wizard himself. Suddenly with a puff of smoke the wizard appeared. Don't eat that or else I'll put my magic on you (while the wizard was talking Faith had bee starting a fire) hmph mumbled Faith. I bet you can't stay under one of my spells said the wizard (who had just returned from the 31st century and wasn't quite right in the head) of course i can said Faith. All right then if you lose you have to eat flowers for a week (Faith who was a strict carnivore shuttered at this but who was she to give up?) The wizard continued to talk and if you don't give up in a week you get three wishes. The contest starts tomorrow at dawn he said sternly.

As the wizard was walking away his finger pointed to Faith and a little lightning bolt struck her and gave her a horrible case of the hiccups. The hiccups shook her so hard that she dropped the fairy and staggered inside.

That morning before the sun had rizen, Faith woke up in an inkredibly good mood. Then she remembered her bet and put on her 'watch me beet the wizard' face. There was a tiny stream of light in the sky. Just enough to see by. Hello said a friendly, mellow voice. Faith, who had just walked out of her cave, had been looking at the light the whole time. She was so startled she spurted a giant flame of fire out of her mouth. Wow! calm down said the same voice. As Faith lowered her gaze she saw a tiny sprite sitting in a dandylion. Good morning it said in an Irish axent. This particular sprite was known as Trixy. Everyone knew Trixy. He was the one who brought good or bad luck to the first thing he saw and talked to in the morning. How are you? Fine thank you said Fathe saucily. What's eating you? said Trixy surprised. What luck do you bring? None to you replied Trixy gayly. Faith drew a long breth. The first one I saw today was Gibber the troll. He bet Enlana a bubbee berry that the wizard would win the bet. What kind of luck did you bring? asked Faith. Today I am not entirely sure answered Trixy. Well sorry gotta run. I promised Nifytya to come over and have tea.

Faith was now in the meadow where every one was gathered, even old Sniggler, the grumpiest munchkin there ever was. The wizard was just approaching now in his long pointed purple hat with stars on it and flowing blue robe on his face with a sinister little smile and those light green eyes which seened to perce right through her.

Hello Faith he said in his deep dark voice. The dawn has fallen and indeed it had beautiful rays of sunshine were streaming across the sky. The first spell I will perform is this. A yellow ray burst out of his eye and hit Faith. Nothing happened. Come on lets go back home. Nothing more was heard from the crowd. But the wizards gaze never left Faith, even when he said you may go. Faith turned around and started walking back even then she could feel his eyes following her laughing at her as she said later.

By the entrance of her cave were a family of Nubbits. Nubbits are like rabbits; constatntly producing and furry. In this particular family each of them looked like a dust ball, a pink or blue dust ball. This family of Nubbits had about 100 or so members. Faith snagged the three at the end of the line and brought them into her cave to cook. First she plopped the frightened Nubbits into a pot then put some wood under the stove and put a pot of water on to boil. She stuck her head in the door of the stove and took a deep breath to light the fire. Nothing happened. Again she tried but still nothing. Then she remembered the wizard's spell. In a huff she whent to the heater to light it because winter was coming. Then she remembered again. Drat she said and went to bed with the cold creeping in. In the morning Faith woke up and shivered and went to the pot which had the Nubbits in it. She lifted the lid and looked in but all she could see was the bottom of the pot. The wizard's doings she mumbled.
