The Queen Charlotte Islands is an archipelago of more than 150
islands. It has gained a reputation for outstanding natural beauty and
a remarkable First Nations culture.
The wildlife viewing in the Queen Charlotte Islands is varied and interesting.
Visitors can watch various birds or catch sight of migrating whales
or seals and sea lions. There are freshwater streams in abundance as well
as the ocean itself, to lure adventurous fishers to this unique spot. Hiking,
biking and walking on the beaches or numerous trails provides enjoyment

Access:
To reach the islands, you can travel from Prince Rupert by air or ferry.
The trip by air is about 45 minutes; the ferry crossing takes about six
hours. Direct air service from Vancouver is also available. Once on the
islands there are various charter boat operations to take you exploring
or fishing.
