The Islands have been referred to as the Canadian Galapagos.  This is without a doubt one of the planets' very unique and special places.  Whether you are interested in bird watching, whale watching, beach combing, trail hiking, visiting Haida heritage sites or just enjoying the clean air and the combined beauty of the natural surroundings, the Charlottes are the place to be.

Remember, the weather is always a factor.  They don't call this "the Misty Isles" for nothing. Many visitors to the Islands experience endless beautiful sunny days, but the weather can be very changeable.  Practice layering when you dress for outings.  be sure to have your rain gear along.  As long as you are prepared for changes in the weather you will have a wonderful time exploring the Charlottes.
