While diving the waters of this Canadian Pacific Northwest destination you will encounter  a rich variety of sea life.  The Island waters are teaming with a variety of fish and invertebrates creating a new experience of beauty and wonder around every boulder.  You will frequently meet curious seals and sea lions and be delighted when it's your turn to come face to face with our treasured giant pacific octopus.  wolf eels, and Peugeot Sound king crab.  Revisit your childhood dreams of being able to fly when you soar through a sunlit forest of bull kelp.

Depending on the El Nino water temperatures vary from high 40's to low 60's.  You'll need at least a 6ml wet suit with hood and gloves, or a dry suit.

Generally to access the best diving you will need a boat rigged with sounder and anchor.
QCI Ocean Charters' boats are rigged to Canadian Coast Guard Standards.

Although there have been some recent efforts to get a decompression chamber in Prince Rupert there is no chamber on the Islands or North Coast as of yet.

We insist that divers have a minimum Open Water Diver certification & practise current safe diving standards.

The Islands offer enjoyable safe diving within your limits.

We're sure you'll have a wonderful, memorable
experience this summer scuba diving the
Queen Charlotte Islands
/Haida Gwaii.
