Most of the photos on these pages were taken by Mavis Mark who has lived on the Queen Charlotte Islands for nearly 10 years.  Having  first come to the Islands to teach school in Masset, she later moved to Naden Harbour and now resides in
Queen Charlotte City.

Mavis was born in Victoria, grew up in Powell River, has lived in Cranbrook , Invermere, Montreal, Alert Bay and the Sunshine Coast before calling the Islands home.

Travelling , taking and developing pictures, singing, dancing, playing ukulele, exploring the Islands, meeting new people and working in the Queen Charlotte Information Centre all enrich Mavis' life.

Mavis has travelled extensively but has only recently discovered her love of  and gift for photography.  She enjoys creating art cards and placemats with many of the photos you see here and many others.
