Breakfast

April is a certified cook with catering experience, who also happens to be our neighbour. She bakes for Isabel Creek, the local organic food store and has her own clientele base. Lucky for us, when Mike’s health dictated he needed to take things a bit easier, April agreed to add providing breakfast for our guests to her repertoire. Simply call April the night before with your menu choice and she’ll deliver your breakfast at the prearranged time. Payment is made directly to April. View menu >
Sauna
The Solarus Infrared Sauna utilizes infrared heat. Infrared heat waves reach the body directly without having to heat the intervening air inside the sauna. With this system, breathing is more comfortable and the atmosphere inside the sauna is more enjoyable than in conventional saunas. Because the infrared heat energy is warming the body directly (and not the air, walls and fixtures within the sauna), a lower temperature setting can be used to achieve the desired results in a short session of 20 to 30 minutes. Bicycle rentals
The highway runs along the ocean between Queen Charlotte and Tlell and is relatively flat. Bicycling is a great way to spend the day visiting Skidegate and the Haida Heritage Centre or hopping on the ferry for a short hike to Lookout Point on the way to Sandspit, visiting nearby beaches or getting around town.
We have bikes available for the use of our guests. Mainly offered as a service, $10.00 a day helps cover on-going maintenance. Bikes are not to be used on logging roads or on the beach.
Rate: $10 a day.

As a business, we consume more than the average family, so we believe we have an even greater opportunity to make a difference. It’s not always easy. Some choices may mean a higher cost initially but in the long run there’s a payoff, whether it’s in actual dollars through savings or in a better quality of life down the road.
