
Microsoft Services Setup to eliminate unneccesary traffic
Microsoft in their infinite wisdom has a service enabled
within their system which is not required for connecting
to an internet, and, as a matter of fact, generates traffic over the
'net needlessly.
We provide step by step instructions (following) so that you can disable
this setting and therefore help us to help you increase your speed and
reduce internet traffic.
We ask that you perform these modifications to your
settings A.S.A.P.
Enter your Control Panel
select "Administrative Tools"
If your Control Panel is "Category View" it looks like this

If your Control Panel is "Classic View" it looks like this

double click on the "Services" icon

RIGHT CLICK on the line which reads "Computer Browser"

a little box pops up; LEFT CLICK on Properties

find the "Startup type"

pull down to show "Disabled"

LEFT CLICK "Apply"

LEFT CLICK "OK"

LEFT CLICK "Close"

LEFT CLICK "Close"
