Training for the Canadian Coast Guard Auxiliary - Central and Arctic is managed by the Standing Committee on Training (SCT).  The SCT is comprised of the District Training Coordinators of the region, personnel from Canadian Coast Guard, the Director of Training, the President, the Director of Operations, CCGA office staff and Glynis Withyman Director District 1.  The group meets throughout the year to review training.  The last meeting was in Toronto on the 26th o

Synopsis for the year 2009 (January 1 to December 31)

The following numbers represent active vessels and members only and are in reference to statistics compiled via the SMS.

The District 4 shoreline includes part of Lake Huron (Kincardine to Tobermory) and most of Georgian Bay. That's a straight line coast distance of about 400 miles (650 Km).  The actual total shoreline distance is beyond calculation.  Shore crawls anywhere on the east shore of Georgian Bay is very time consuming.
